Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken (tenders, thighs, or breast)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 8-10 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
- 2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Prepare Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Season Chicken: In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cut the chicken into 3-inch pieces, then coat them in olive oil and the spice mixture.
- Thread Skewers: Carefully thread the seasoned chicken onto skewers, packing the pieces closely together. Trim the skewers if necessary to fit your air fryer.
- Garlic Butter Sauce: Melt butter partially in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir in minced garlic, red pepper flakes, hot sauce (if using), parsley, and Parmesan. Reserve 1/3 of this mixture for basting during cooking, and set the rest aside for brushing after.
- Cook in Air Fryer:
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place 2-3 skewers in the air fryer basket and cook for 5 minutes.
- Flip, baste with the reserved sauce, and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Flip again, baste once more, and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Total cooking time should be 12-14 minutes.
- Finish and Serve: Brush the skewers with the remaining garlic butter sauce and sprinkle with extra Parmesan before serving. Garnish with more parsley if desired.
