Instructions:
- Prepare the Berry Mixture:
Combine mixed berries with sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Let them macerate for 10–15 minutes until they release their juices. - Make the Cream Layer:
Using a hand or stand mixer, whip mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form. - Assemble the Trifle:
- Briefly dip ladyfingers into the juice.
- Place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a trifle dish or serving glasses.
- Add a layer of mascarpone cream, then a layer of the berry mixture.
- Repeat the layers, ending with a cream layer on top.
- Chill:
Cover and refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld. - Garnish and Serve:
Top with extra berries, mint leaves, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar for a stunning finish.
