Berry Tiramisu Trifle

Ingredients:

For the Cream Layer:

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Berry Mixture:

  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Layers:

  • 1 package ladyfingers (or sponge cake strips)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice or berry juice (for soaking)

For Garnish (Optional):

  • Fresh berries
  • Mint leaves
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Berry Mixture:
    Combine mixed berries with sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Let them macerate for 10–15 minutes until they release their juices.
  2. Make the Cream Layer:
    Using a hand or stand mixer, whip mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until soft peaks form.
  3. Assemble the Trifle:
    • Briefly dip ladyfingers into the juice.
    • Place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of a trifle dish or serving glasses.
    • Add a layer of mascarpone cream, then a layer of the berry mixture.
    • Repeat the layers, ending with a cream layer on top.
  4. Chill:
    Cover and refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    Top with extra berries, mint leaves, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar for a stunning finish.
